  45. this.  Basically if you are a mac user login as anonymous and give a
  46. passwd of + followed by your email address eg:
  47.     +lmjm@doc.ic.ac.uk

  49. The ftp daemon then automatically strips any trialing .Z's that it
  50. finds when giving you a directory listing.  When you try and pull a
  51. file that is really compressed the ftp daemon automatically
  52. uncompresses it.  This works really well with Fetch.
