- Please do NOT use this directory. I'm relaying the filestore out into
- a more logical structure and that directory is due to be removed!
-
- Please stick with:
- src.doc.ic.ac.uk:computing/systems/mac/umich
-
- or:
-
- src.doc.ic.ac.uk:packages/mac-umich
-
- The top level directory mac will be replaced by computing/systems/mac.
- The packages directory is just a collection of symlink shortcuts to
- other places.

-
- src.doc.ic.ac.uk:/README.ftp will give you more info on how to do
- this. Basically if you are a mac user login as anonymous and give a
- passwd of + followed by your email address eg:
- +lmjm@doc.ic.ac.uk
-
- The ftp daemon then automatically strips any trialing .Z's that it
- finds when giving you a directory listing. When you try and pull a
- file that is really compressed the ftp daemon automatically
- uncompresses it. This works really well with Fetch.
