- Fine, don't believe me, I don't care, but I just got off the phone with
- "a friend" whose hard drive on his powerbook 100? (the cheap one) packed it in.
- Of course, he was using it for his business for a few months now, and has
- no backups whatsoever. He said that it had been making noises for a while
- before it died (I say, get a clue, bud) and now it doesn't spin anymore.
-
- His dealer says that the drive is cooked and that they cannot retrieve the
- data. Apple Canada told him to talk to his dealer.
-
- I promised him that I would post here to see if anyone knew of a way to get his
- data off his toasted drive. There, I did it.
-
- Please e-mail, as I do not usually read this group.
-
- Thanks in advance,
