- After bringing up the subject of the specialized I/O processors
- in the FX, I had a thought: Since system 7.1 supposedly allows
- Apple to provide an extension to make new mac processors compatible
- with the system, that is, no more incremental system versions every
- time Apple comes out with a new mac, does this mean that Apple
- will finally provide a non-A/UX solution for using those specialized
- processors on the FX, and more importantly, that we'll see future
- macs go back to the multiple/specialized processors??
