  15. Interesting. I didn't realize until a day or two ago that there was ever
  16. any market resistance to the PowerBook 100. As far as we're concerned they
  17. (and the rest of the PowerBook family) have been a runaway success.
  18. My boss (#2 boss, not #1 boss) told me he had about 35 of the 100's in
  19. stock as of April, and three months later they were all gone. This is being
  20. sold into a population of 6000 students and something close to 1000 staff.

  22. My boss himself had a 100 for eight months, up until about 3 weeks ago,
  23. when #1 boss persuaded him to trade it and his desktop IIcx in, for a 170
  24. that would serve as both office and portable machine. He wasn't completely
  25. without regrets, even with the Envisio interface so he could keep his colour
  26. monitor. As he said, the 100 was "more of a Mac" than the 140/170.
  27. And I know what he means.
