- Interesting. I didn't realize until a day or two ago that there was ever
- any market resistance to the PowerBook 100. As far as we're concerned they
- (and the rest of the PowerBook family) have been a runaway success.
- My boss (#2 boss, not #1 boss) told me he had about 35 of the 100's in
- stock as of April, and three months later they were all gone. This is being
- sold into a population of 6000 students and something close to 1000 staff.
-
- My boss himself had a 100 for eight months, up until about 3 weeks ago,
- when #1 boss persuaded him to trade it and his desktop IIcx in, for a 170
- that would serve as both office and portable machine. He wasn't completely
- without regrets, even with the Envisio interface so he could keep his colour
- monitor. As he said, the 100 was "more of a Mac" than the 140/170.
- And I know what he means.
