  16. I have a PowerCache 40 in my LC, and it really does work! The speedup is
  17. especially noticeable in arcade games (Vette, MS Flight Simulator) where the
  18. animation framing rate increases, making the games much more playable, and in
  19. QuickTime movies, where it doesn't have to skip frames to keep up.

  21. With the accelerator, my LC feels much faster than the IIcx I use at work.
  22. To put numbers on the comparison, I ran Speedometer 3.06 on my accelerated
  23. home LC and my work IIcx. The IIcx's P.R. rating is 3.82, and the PowerCache
  24. 40 LC is 8.63 (higher numbers are better). The IIcx's Benchmark average is
  25. 4.90 vs. 10.04 for the LC.
