-
- I have a PowerCache 40 in my LC, and it really does work! The speedup is
- especially noticeable in arcade games (Vette, MS Flight Simulator) where the
- animation framing rate increases, making the games much more playable, and in
- QuickTime movies, where it doesn't have to skip frames to keep up.
-
- With the accelerator, my LC feels much faster than the IIcx I use at work.
- To put numbers on the comparison, I ran Speedometer 3.06 on my accelerated
- home LC and my work IIcx. The IIcx's P.R. rating is 3.82, and the PowerCache
- 40 LC is 8.63 (higher numbers are better). The IIcx's Benchmark average is
- 4.90 vs. 10.04 for the LC.
