- One data point. We bought a PowerBook 100 for our son to use for
- facilitated communicating (he's a non-verbal austistic child and he
- communicates with us by typing on the keyboard). He totes it around
- in his backpack and it gets tossed around a fair amount. It's held
- up very well so far. It seesm really well built (though if you really
- want a tank, get an old Macintosh Portable - it was build to take
- a real beating!)
-
- One of the reasons we got the 100, besides the great price, was that
- it was smaller and lighter than the other PowerBooks. I'd think a
- heavier PowerBook might take more abuse.
