  11. Well, I'm after a postscript printer that will support more than one
  12. platform (specifically, Mac, IBM, and Amiga).  We currently have a TI
  13. OmniLaser 2108.  It is in very bad shape (text fuzzy, blacks are patchy
  14. etc)  I don't know whether the machine was simply abused too long or the
  15. printer just isn't capable of 'good' quality print (comparable to a
  16. LaserWriter IINT ?).  
  17.     The choices we have so far is the new LaserWriter IIg (or IIf)
  18. or an OKI  OL840 (cheap, but haven't seen it print yet)
  19.     What I would like to know, is :-
  20. What is the OKI like ?  Do you know of any other postscript printers
  21. that are useful ?
  22.     I like the auto port switching capability of the Apples (the IIg
  23. is nice since it can be relatively easily EtherNeted.  Is there software
  24. to support EtherTalk on a PC with an EtherNet card ?)
  25.     Do the Apples have a parallel port or only serial ? 
  26.     Are there other printers out there with auto port switching etc
  27. (other emulations can also be useful, but not mandatory).
