  21. I auditioned both printers last week, in preparation for a Mac purchase.  I 
  22. decided on the StyleWriter mainly because the print quality was quite a bit 
  23. better than what I got out of the HP Deskjet, both for graphics and text (I 
  24. was printing on Xerox-type paper).  My sister bought a DeskJet and was so 
  25. disappointed with the print quality that she returned it.  I found this to be 
  26. a bit surprising based on what I saw coming out of the DeskJet (which was 
  27. pretty good).  But the output from the StyleWriter _was_ significantly more 
  28. crisp looking (sharper edges).  Another advantage of the StyleWriter is its 
  29. small size.  On the other hand, the HP seemed to print faster and comes with 
  30. a 3 year warranty, versus Apple's standard 1 year warranty.

  32. BTW, someone mentioned that there was a new printer driver for the StyleWriter 
  33. which significantly speeds up printing.  Does anyone know what version of the 
  34. driver that would be?  I'm just curious if the latest and greatest was shipped 
  35. with my Mac/StyleWriter.
