- Here is a question along the same vein:
- When I look at my BW Mac SE's screen with polarizing sunglasses
- (and turn up the brightness to compensate), the flicker is less noticeable!
- (Try it.) Since I'm sure the monitor is still flickering away like usual,
- why do the eyes perceive a more stable image under polarized light? I have
- noticed ads for "glare guards" which fit over the screen to eliminate glare.
- Some of these are polarized. Has anyone tried them? Do they reduce flicker
- as well as glare?
- If you have a good guess, e-mail it to me and I'll summarize to the
- newsgroup!
