- Hmm... My wife uses WordPerfect, and prefers it to / was unimpressed by
- MicroLimp Werd 4 Windoze. I use the MS product, 'cause it's free; my group
- leader bought it, along with Excel and Windows, under the assumption that
- "they were all written by the same company, so they should all work fine
- together, right?" -- but that's another tale of sorrow and shame...
-
- An interesting point-- MS Word's easter egg shows an animation of a bunch
- of tiny men beating down a huge "WP" monster. When WP for Windows was first
- released, my wife had no end of grief getting it to work properly. She said
- that WP's tech support was great, though the person helping her kept
- cursing Microsoft under his breath...
-
- ...has anyone here tried loading the "best of windows shareware" file
- (a windows Write document) into Word 2.0? It chokes on me. Gee.... you'd
- think MicroFlaccid could write a working filter for one of their own.....
