  19. Hmm... My wife uses WordPerfect, and prefers it to / was unimpressed by
  20. MicroLimp Werd 4 Windoze. I use the MS product, 'cause it's free; my group
  21. leader bought it, along with Excel and Windows, under the assumption that
  22. "they were all written by the same company, so they should all work fine
  23. together, right?" -- but that's another tale of sorrow and shame...

  25. An interesting point-- MS Word's easter egg shows an animation of a bunch
  26. of tiny men beating down a huge "WP" monster. When WP for Windows was first
  27. released, my wife had no end of grief getting it to work properly. She said
  28. that WP's tech support was great, though the person helping her kept
  29. cursing Microsoft under his breath...

  32. (a windows Write document) into Word 2.0? It chokes on me. Gee.... you'd
  33. think MicroFlaccid could write a working filter for one of their own.....
