- I've been looking at ads for 486's and I've been seeing many machines with
- something called 'local bus'. It seems to be some sort of 32 bit slot for
- video cards and hard disk controllers. Is this a standard connector? Will
- a card that plugs into this slot on one local bus machine work on another?
- Also, should I buy one of these machines now or wait until later? Is the
- speed improvement worth the extra $$?
