  13. I've been looking at ads for 486's and I've been seeing many machines with
  14. something called 'local bus'.  It seems to be some sort of 32 bit slot for
  15. video cards and hard disk controllers.  Is this a standard connector?  Will
  16. a card that plugs into this slot on one local bus machine work on another?
  17. Also, should I buy one of these machines now or wait until later?  Is the
  18. speed improvement worth the extra $$?
