  13. The symptoms of this sick machine are that it reboots spuriously and 
  14. spontaneously, whether running DOS or SCO Unix 3.2.4. The brand name
  15. is OCTEC HIPPO III, and it's other cards include Racal-Interlan 6510
  16. ethernet card, Adaptec SCSI card, hercules-clone display card and 16M
  17. of memory. It also has 256 k of cache memory.

  19. It has been observed to reboot while idling under DOS 5.0, and it has
  20. also rebooted while in the process of a Unix shutdown. Furthermore, it
  21. reboots about once a day under SCO Unix.

  23. Does anyone have any experience with this manufacturer? Are there perhaps
  24. BIOS settings, or I/O bus effects that may cause this behaviour? Any and
  25. all clues will be appreciated... thanks in advance.
