  13. Some corrections to my post last night (I went back home and tracked
  14. down the ad).

  16. The ad is in the Sept. 15, 1992 PC Mag (Vol 11, # 15) on page 368. It
  17. is not in Windows magazine (Sorry if your ran out and bought Windows
  18. magazine).

  20. Some info from the ad:

  23.  - Fast 25.5 million WINMARK Perf. (on ISA)
  24.  - Accelerated 1280x1024x256 NI @ 74Hz max.
  25.  - Avail in ISA, EISA, and MicroChannel (VL-Bus is *NOT* listed as I
  26.    incorrectly stated last night, but I talked to a tech rep and he
  27.    stated that ATI would support the VL-Bus in future).
  28.  - Of course, a built in mouse port + mouse
  29.  - Priced from $599.00 (SRP)

  40. ATI tech support stated that the initial cards would be available
  41. in ISA format in Sept.

  43. From looking at the ad, it looks like the Ultra Pro also delivers
  44. 1024x768x65000 and 800x600x16million, but I'm checking with ATI
  45. tech support to make sure before I place an order.

  47. ATI has offered upgrades (if you have an ATI card) before.  But 
  48. sometimes the difference was more than what some resellers were 
  49. selling the new cards for.  I don't know if there's an upgrade 
  50. policy this time.

  52. As I stated last night, both cards are still 8514/a register 
  53. compatible which is a plus (in the DOS world) and some other 
  54. systems (e.g., QNX windows) that don't have a lot of driver
  55. support for the "non-standard" video systems.
