  14. I recently changed from a Paradise SVGA card to a ET4000 based card with
  15. RAMDAC chip.
  16.  
  17. I did not run CMOS setup again.
  18.  
  19. I did install from a Sierra Dr Brain game.
  20.  
  21. The install program ran for ~3 seconds. ( I assume it was determining
  22. my computers attributes ) and then the display locked in random colors.
  23.  
  24. The computer would not boot. It would not read the A drive on reset or
  25. on powerup.
  26.  
  27. Eventually, I replaced the Paradise card and everything was back to 
  28. normal.

  30. I have an OPTi motherboard 386DX-40.

  32. Should I have re-run CMOS setup?
