- I purchased a Sony 1604 a few months ago. From the time I got the
- monitor I have been having trouble with the yoke (I think that's what
- it's called). I've had the monitor in for service 3 times. Each time
- they adjust the yoke and the image looks great at the service center.
- By the time I pack the monitor up, drive home from the service center,
- and set the monitor back up the yoke needs adjustment again.
-
- The warranty says the Sony will repair or replace the monitor. Since they
- don't seem to be able to repair it correctly I would like to have them
- replace it. Unfortunately, the service center tells me that replacing
- it is not an option. They say that their isn't another 1604 in the
- country and that they just can't get another one.
-
- Any suggestions? Does anyone know the model number of the next better
- monitor in the Sony line and how much it costs? I might ask them to
- replace this monitor with the next better one in the line paying for
- part of the difference between the two monitors. Does anyone know
- why a 1604 is so tough to find? Has Sony stopped making it? Are they
- going to make a replacement for the 1604?
-
- Thanks,
