- I was wondering if anyone could give me some help with this. I have a small
- problem with my Adaptec 1542B SCSI board on my 386/25 PC with an AMI BIOS
- (5/15/91). The problem is that when I push in the turbo button to cut
- down the speed the machine hangs with a "NO ROM BASIC PRESENT SYSTEM HALTED"
- message. The board goes through and finds the only SCSI disk fine and dandy
- but when it begins to boot up it hangs. I'm running DOS 5.0 and have stripped
- the machine down of all boards and drivers, and it still hangs up. The only
- other board in the machine is a ATI VGA Wonder XL board.
-
- Any ideas,
