  12. I was wondering if anyone could give me some help with this.  I have a small
  13. problem with my Adaptec 1542B SCSI board on my 386/25 PC with an AMI BIOS
  14. (5/15/91).  The problem is that when I push in the turbo button to cut
  15. down the speed the machine hangs with a  "NO ROM BASIC PRESENT  SYSTEM HALTED"
  16. message.  The board goes through and finds the only SCSI disk fine and dandy
  17. but when it begins to boot up it hangs.  I'm running DOS 5.0 and have stripped
  18. the machine down of all boards and drivers, and it still hangs up.  The only
  19. other board in the machine is a ATI VGA Wonder XL board.
