- ^}I have a 1 meg SVGA trident 8900 card.
- ^}i have heard rumors that there are some problems with this card and graphic
- ^}instensive programs. eg Windows 3.1
-
- ^}The reason i give this example is that i have just installed windows
- ^}and my system keeps hanging. I donot think it is the software as my flat
- ^}mate has the same system installed and no problems at all.
-
- ^}I have also noticed some static on the monitor when i run video intensive
- ^}programs like demos and such.
-
- ^}My hardware setup is:-
-
- ^}processor : '486sx
- ^}memory : 4 meg.
- ^}Harddisk : 100 meg ide drive.
- ^}Vga card : 1 meg Trident 8900.
- ^}Vga Monitor : 1024x768x256.
-
- ^}BTW i was running windows with the trident video driver in 600x800x256 fast
- ^}mode.
-
- I've been running pretty much that setup for some time. No problems.
- I've got a '486DX, 4meg, was running 200MB IDE, now 668 SCSI, 1meg 8900C,
- have used several video modes, now running 1024x768x256. I have used
- both slow and fast address decode options on the board, otherwise using
- factory defaults. (Fast address decode won't coexist with a Future Domain
- SCSI controller).
