- To change the setup info for a PS/2, any model (I believe), you need a
- PS/2 Reference disk for the approriate model. Get a copy from somebody with
- a similar model (The ones for models 50/60 and 70/80, etc won't work), or
- buy one from IBM. I think IBM would sell you one for $20-50, which is a lot,
- but if it's the only way to help, then IBM wins.
- I dislike PS/2's partially because of this. My father's 50Z had CMOS
- problems (the battery was loose) and the ref disk died as well, so
- he had to call in a 'friend' to fix it for $100. The friend claimed that
- several chips had to be replaced, but when I looked at it, there was only
- evidence of a loose wire.
- Anyway, I'll stop rambling at the cost of the global network :)... hope
