- If you have HP-UX 8.07, there's a command called "/etc/swapinfo"
- that may help you (see the end of the following):
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Note that monitor does not correctly report swap space utilization
- under HP-UX 8.0. The numbers that it reports are TOO SMALL (for "used"
- swap space -- monitor does not take into account all of the used swap
- space in HP-UX 8.0). Depending on the circumstances, it is possible for
- monitor to be a factor of 2 or so off in the amount of "used swap space"
- (i.e., the amount of "used swap space" as reported by monitor might be
- only 1/2 of the amount actually used).
-
- Also, please note that monitor is an unsupported tool.
-
- The /etc/swapinfo command will give more correct numbers, *IF* you
- give the "-t" command-line option ("-t" for "totals"). As a side note,
- note that the output of /etc/swapinfo was designed to be read by humans;
- the output of /usr/sam/bin/swapinfo was not. If you can figure out the
- cryptic foo output by /usr/sam/bin/swapinfo, great.
