- Installing rn-4.4.pl3 on our HP720 running HP-UX ver. 8, rrn
- works great with nntp communication with another host. However,
- Pnews constantly ends at runtime with the message "no sysname
- in usr/include/whoami.h". I have created such a file and tried
- to give it a valid format, but nothing helps. Deleting the
- file and reinstalling the package doesn't help either. The
- local gethostname and uuname seem to work OK.
-
- Does anybody have an idea how to make Pnews work? Now I have
- to log in on the other side of the Atlantic to get this message
- out to the newsgroup...
