  11. We are assembling a brief guide for our users
  12. who have been using various mainframes or
  13. workstations, and wish to switch to a different
  14. machine. We are including some comprison tables
  15. on data representation on five workstations and 
  16. two mainframes, primarily for FORTRAN programmers
  17. (yes, they still exist!). I have been digging through the
  18. manuals, and I have not been able to find the
  19. following on the HP Apollo (Series 700):

  21. 1. how many decimal digits of precision with REAL*4 and REAL*8?
  22. 2. is a character constant stored left to right or right to left?
