- We are assembling a brief guide for our users
- who have been using various mainframes or
- workstations, and wish to switch to a different
- machine. We are including some comprison tables
- on data representation on five workstations and
- two mainframes, primarily for FORTRAN programmers
- (yes, they still exist!). I have been digging through the
- manuals, and I have not been able to find the
- following on the HP Apollo (Series 700):
-
- 1. how many decimal digits of precision with REAL*4 and REAL*8?
- 2. is a character constant stored left to right or right to left?
-
- Thanks in advance for any help.
