  21.     Why? For any of the PDP11s of that era, you just would buy the
  22.     appropriate boot ROM from DEC. Digital does not clobber you, prices
  23.     are quite reasonable. What I would do would be to:

  25.     1/ Connect up to DEC-Direct, got to parts, and do a pattern search
  26.        for ROM, BOOT, etc. (If you don't have a DEC-direct phone account,
  27.        get one. It makes DEC shopping much easier, effectively bypassing
  28.        your typical non-technical sales-person.)

  30.     2/ Go to documentation for the bootstrap board. Many of them list
  31.        what each of the bootstrap boards roms do.

  33.     If your machine has console odt, the first thing I would do would
  34.     be to look at the normal locations where PROMs can reside and see
  35.     what was already installed.

  38.     Probably would be a waste of net bandwidth to a VAX and UNIX dominated
  39.     area.
