- You can get a better deal from DEC's Customer Returns Center, which offers a
- flat-rate exchange (as opposed to local Field Service, who will sell you a new
- module). The CRC is at 800-225-5385.

- You might also look at some of the 3rd-party vendors. I believe Efficient
- Field Service fixes these.

- Lastly, it might just be cheaper to buy a new one. Last I looked, VS3100/30
- system units (case, power supply, system board) were going for around $1000-

- Also, working on these is hard and you run a serious risk of destroying the
- board. I replaced the 'F244's on some VS3100/76 boards for a reseller. It was
- not a lot of fun (and I have extensive surface-mount rework experience).
