- Hello.
-
- After my C64 and periphials have been on for a while, I sometimes will
- here what sounds like static coming from my monitor speaker. I've found
- in the past that kicking (lightly) on the power supply would stop the
- sounds temporarily. Tapping on the monitor didn't help much, except to
- getting some frustration out.
-
- It's a fairly new power supply. It's actually a rebuilt 128 power
- supply converted for the C64. A local Commodore store did this because
- of the high demand for C64 power supplies recently.
-
- Oh, another thing: I can still continue using the C64 with no problems,
- and if I turn down the volume on the monitor, I don't hear the static
- anymore.
-
- So, does anyone have the answer to this puzzle?
-
- Thanks.
