- I needed some of these a month ago and posted a message looking for people
- who may have some spares laying around. I received several responses, so
- there are still people out there that might be able to help you. I'm
- assuming that you really only need one or two.
-
- If you're interested in selling, you might want to contact
- bufort@remus.rutgers.edu. (I believe that is the person who started
- this thread.)
-
- Of course, you can only use the standard cards to get up to 48K. If you
- need more than that, you need a card that is specially designed for that.
- (Actually, you can modify a standard 16K card to make a 256K card--I
- know of several people who have done it, but I don't have the information
- on how they did it. It takes a lot of soldering, the 256K chips, and I
- think a few cheap controller chips.)
-
- Is anyone familiar with this upgrade technique? I suppose someone could
- start a business where people mail in a 16K card with $$$ and you send them
- back a 256K card.
