- Thanx.. I'll check it out. For now I've been using my specialized mapper
- for crashman!... it lets me plot character-pairs on the screen in one
- fell-swoop (or swell-foop), as well as moving the cursor around in two
- character steps horizontally. Of course, this can be overridden, for mor
- exact placement of objects and whatnot (say you had some crystals (like
- coins)... they'd look like this: "<>".. in a 20 column screen, you could
- only position them like this:
- <>
- <><><>
- <><><><><>
- but in the 40 column, paired-character setup that crashman! uses (like
- Bros. used), you can do this:
- <>
- <><>
- <><><>
- it's not very important, but it's a nicety.. it gives the game a
- different look than Bros.)
-
- Also, another thing I did was make two dirt characters.. in Bros. and
- Super Mario Bros., that same pattern gets monotanous... and with 40 col.
- positioning and single-character placing modes you can make the dirt
- pattern even more varied...
-
- I'll check SCRNEDIT out tonite...
-
- btw: I'll probably end up adding the Mapper to the registered version of
- Crashman!... thanx bill
