- Ok, I found out from Tulin what the deal is.
-
- 1. Tulin is final-testing an Apple SCSI driver for the Floptical. This would
- be GS/OS only, and while I remember hearing that the current SCSI.Manger will
- work with the Rev.C card, I am not certain.
-
- 2. Apparently some of the mechanisms have an auto-eject motor (which the
- driver will use) but some of them do not. Since I bought mine back in April
- I suspect that mine does not have it. I'll probably have to send mine in to
- be replaced with an auto-ejecting one; Tulin says they will call me when the
- driver is ready. In the meantime I'll be getting my hands on a used DMA SCSI
- from somebody I know.
-
- 3. I got a bunch of spiffy tech info on the Floptical in the mail from Insite
- today. With any luck I can convince him to take a look at the data and maybe
- we will see some action.
