- Are you SURE you don't have Easy Access and CloseView installed? The
- "custom installation" "Hard Drive or FDHD" option automatically
- installs them.
- The symptoms you describe are exactly those caused by Easy Access when
- a program tries to read from the keyboard with interrupts disabled.

- It is surprising that the problem also occurs when booting from an 800k
- floppy, since Easy Access isn't normally installed on one.
