- You gotta' love those packaging guys! Here are some other interesting
- stories:
-
- - We received 5 boxes from another computer company (can't remember the
- name, wasn't HP) that each were labeleld box 1of5, 2of5, etc. When we
- received the 5th box it was labeled box 5 of 5, and then the label "This
- box is intentionally empty"! We still have the 5th box lying around for
- a good laugh.
-
- - I recently ordered two microprocessor crystals from DigiKey, each about
- the size of a postage stamp, and about as thick as a nickel. When the
- box arrived it was about 6" cube and contained a much smaller box
- wrapped in bubble-plastic. Opening the smaller box was a single 3"x5"
- card with the two crystals taped to it that was packed with the
- styrofoam peanuts. And all this was shipped UPS. When I called them and
- asked them why didn't they just stick the card in an envelope and mail
- it to me, they said they "were not equipped" to mail "packages" that way!
- I considered donating them a box of envelopes and some stamps so they
- would be prepared for my next small shipment!
-
- So it is not just HP!
