  34.     Again you are talking software not the machine. I own an amiga in addition to a
  35. 486dx-33, I love them both. But, what makes the Amiga owners "proud, arrogant"
  36. is the *Machine*. What do you think runs the outstanding software on the Amiga?
  37. The Amiga of course! The hardware allows this software to be run, not the
  38. software it self. In other words it is not the software itself that makes the
  39. amiga what it is, it is the machine. 
  40.     Do not make the mistake of reifying the software, for without the
  41. machine the software could not operate.    Why do you think games on the Amiga
  42. only take up a fraction of what they do on the Ibm, because the chips do not
  43. require nearly as much code to write the graphics, sound, animation etc as they
  44. do on an IBM.  The software does not make the machine, the machine "makes" the
  45. software.
  46.     Yes, let's face it, AmigaDos could not be ported to an Intel based
  47. machine, because the machine could not handle code that the chips in the Amiga
  48. work with. The hardware is better in the Amiga (though it has many drawbacks),
  49. and windows is, compared to the Amiga, almost entirely "generated" by software
  50. code, to allow it to multitask. Where as the inherent "insides" of the Amiga
  51. naturally allow this and encourage it. It's about time this type of 
  52. OS came to the IBM.
