- I have a 40 MB Quantum drive that has decided to die on me. The
- drive decided to quit writing. I can read data most of the time
- with errors, but a write is basically ignored. I was using this
- drive heavily for the last year or so(I got it used) with no problems
- and never an error or bad block.
-
- Does anyone know of a place where I can get this drive repaired? I
- talked to Quantum and they want $150 to repair it(almost as much
- as the new drive I bought). Has anyone gotten a drive repaird?
- Was it worth it? If it is too much to repair, it may go the way
- of my first bad floppy disk and get "disassembled"....
