  25. i can conditionally recommend AMT International in california - 
  26. 1 408 942-9655 and FAX 1 408 942-5509.

  28. their current price for 80ns Static Column ZIPs is $14 per chip, better than
  29. i've ever seen anywhere else.

  31. the "conditionally" part concerns their shipping department, which borders 
  32. incompetent. my salesperson, Sharad, was unfailingly polite, helpful, and
  33. cooperative, but with that shipping department, you'd have to be! the first
  34. time i boughts static column zips from them, two years ago, i was sent 
  35. page mode zips. no problem sending them back and getting them replaced, but
  36. it was annoying to say the least.

  38. two weeks ago, i ordered another eight static column zips. again, i was 
  39. shipped page mode zips. talked to sharad, he sent replacements. the
  40. replacements were page mode again, but in DIP form-factor!   #(*&@!!!
  41. talked to sharad again, he went to the shipping department and
  42. packed the order himself. the chips are installed, the wrong chips sent
  43. back, but what a headache!

  45. so if you order static column zips, ask them to double check the order
  46. before shipping...
