  11.     I recently got a used Seagate ST225N 20meg 5.25" HH hard drive.  I 
  12. connected it to my GVP Series II (ROM 3.7) with a standard SCSI daisy-chain
  13. cable along with the Quantum 52LPS the board came with.  When I boot off the
  14. Quantum, the system refuses to accept the Seagate, and locks up if it accesses
  15. it.  Then, if I unplug the Quantum from the SCSI cable and only have the 
  16. Seagate on it, it will recognize the drive if I use the "GVPMount" utility.
  17. If I then reboot the machine again, it recognizes the drive without using 
  18. GVPMount.  Then I can turn the system off, plug the Quantum back in, turn the
  19. system back on, and the machine boots up fine, recognizing both Quantum and
  20. Seagate.  Obviously, this is extremely confusing.  I have NO IDEA why it works
  21. after turning the machine off but not before.  I don't see why it would work 
  22. that way only.
