- I've been told that the other pair of sockets are for eproms because they have
- different pinouts. My A3000 is the latest revision and has 2.04 roms in the
- front pair of sockets. I have read an article on installing an 040 board and
- the early release (read eprom) roms that came with it had to be installed into
- the rear sockets. The UNIX machines come with boot code on disk that is run
- under AmigaDOS.
- The 'Boot Roms' that were originally in the machine are 2.01 (from memory).
- You can get them to boot up workbench by clicking on the hidden close gadget
- somewhere up the top left of the rom boot menu.
