- I am wondering if anyone would know the answer to this problem.
-
- I am trying to acess a great amiga database full of awesome stuff
- and I can do it virtually for free because I can go through my
- school, log onto a sun, and rlogin to the system server and do
- error free z-modem downloads. It's a pretty awesome setup except
- for these grad students who answer the phone everytime I dial in.
- I tried to get it accross to them, that when they don't hear
- anyone talking, it's probably a modem. The modem isn't
- dedicated, so that stinks I guess.
-
- My problem is when I call my school maiframe, I am limited to
- using telnet to connect to the sun then to rlogin from there.
- When I download, I get tons of block sync errors because telnet
- is not 8-bit clean. Is there anyway to get around this problem.
