  11. We are running over 100 Pc's networked using PC-NFS 4.0a. I would like to
  12. be able to set a USER and HOSTNAME environment variable to the correct username
  13. and hostname of the PC.

  15. The information is available by the NET NAME command but I do not know how to
  16. extract the usename and hostname from the NET NAME output and then set the
  17. apporiate environment labels.

  19. I am planning to use SABER LAA to provide some license management and this 
  20. product requires a environment variable set to the username and one for the 
  21. hostname. This would also be useful for other network packages such as mail
  22. which also requires a username.

  24. Has anyone done this already or does anybody have any sugestions on the how to
  25. do this?

  27. Do any other PC-NFS users think this would ba a good feature for future PC-NFS
  28. releases?
