  21. I've just seen this message.  I have another related question:

  23. Using the above configuration, do I need any unusual cabling to 
  24. connect the modem to the port for inbound connections from off-site,  
  25. dial-up access?  I have a similar configuration which provides successful  
  26. access about one time in four.  The other times the modem may answer, but 
  27. I hear no "whistle" and I lose the call, or the modems start to synchronise  
  28. and then after a second or so the line drops.

  30. I've tried a different modem with the same result.
