- I believe you're confused about what Profs is (or I'm not thinking about the
- same Profs as you are). PROFS is not a network. Profs is an office system for
- IBM's VM operating system, similar in some ways to All-in-1. You can connect
- your VM system to BITNET with only a hardware connection since Bitnet is
- RSCS-based. You can also purchase TCP/IP software for your VM system from
- several vendors, IBM included. Once you've got TCP/IP, you can connect
- yourself to the Internet.
