- I'm writing an OS/2 2.0 application which makes use of the IBM LAN
- Dynamic Link Routine (CCB2) Interface to the IBM Token Ring. I'm
- having a trouble with the DIR.SET.GROUP.ADDRESS (hex 06) command
- (all other CCB commands seem to be executing OK). The 06 command
- is always returning me an error code of hex 54 (Invalid System Key
- code). I'm not setting the PROTOCOL.INI System Key, so I thought
- (according to the IBM documentation) it should default to X'0'.
- However, it does not seem to be the case. I've tried ALL possible
- system key values (0 to X'FFFF', it's just a 'short' value), but to
- no avail. I've tried to setup various 'system_key' values in the
- LANDD_NIF section of the PROTOCOL.INI file, and specify the matching
- value in my program, but again, no luck...
-
- The IBM LAN Reference Manual claims that "this command can only be
- issued by a system administrator using the System Key as defined by
- the configuration parameters". OK, I know the System Key, but it
- does not seem to have any effect. Should my application obtain some
- kind of privilege to become a "system administrator"? Any other
- ideas what might be wrong? I'd appreciate any kind of input since it's
- a very urgent and important problem for me indeed.
-
- Thank you in advance,
