  11. I used tar on a Sun to backup an HPFS disk connected remotely by NFSD in
  12. IBM TCP/IP 1.2.1. Previously, this broke down NFSD if buffer size was 4k. 
  13. With buffer size 512 to 1k, tar works for about an hour, backing up
  14. about 40 Mbytes, and then the system freezes. Ctrl-Alt-Del does now work
  15. and the system has to be reset. 
  16. Did anybody have similar experience?
