- I used tar on a Sun to backup an HPFS disk connected remotely by NFSD in
- IBM TCP/IP 1.2.1. Previously, this broke down NFSD if buffer size was 4k.
- With buffer size 512 to 1k, tar works for about an hour, backing up
- about 40 Mbytes, and then the system freezes. Ctrl-Alt-Del does now work
- and the system has to be reset.
- Did anybody have similar experience?
