  11. Has anyone else had a problem with running  320x200x256 and higher modes in
  12. a window with these drivers?  I was able to run these programs with the 
  13. standard VGA drivers with no problems at all.  I was hoping to see similar 
  14. performance with 640x480, but ended up losing the abilities I had in the first 
  15. place.  
  16. Also, has anyone had any problems with the palette not looking right on 256
  17. color programs they run?  I ran PMGif, the gif displayer, and about half of
  18. the colors in the GIF images I viewed were obviously wrong.  I got the same 
  19. performance with a bitmap image I made in 256 colors from a WinOS2 program.
  20. Does anyone know why this is?  Windows 3.0 & 3.1 and X11 both have no problems
  21. releasing the palette to the applications, is this a bug?
  22. Thirdly, the 16 color drivers were indistinguishable from the 256 color drivers
  23. .  The performance was just as slow, and there were 256 colors still. (I 
  24. followed the instructions with the drivers to the letter.)
