- I mostly use my laptop for terminal emulation. It doesn't access
- the hard drive often, so I enabled the HD timeout. This normally
- works o.k., but occassionally the OS/2 lockup seems to hang when
- it activates (and the HD is already stopped), and sometimes I get
- a device not ready warning (from which I issue a retry) when I
- change my setup in the comm program.
-
- So...it seems that OS/2 waits a set amount of time for a reply
- from the HD. Sometimes the HD is fast enough, sometimes it isn't.
- I'd like to make the wait time longer so that it never times out
- waiting for the HD to power up.
-
- Any ideas? (IBM tech support didn't have any.)
-
- Thanks!
