- My problem is as follows: I"ve got an Okilaser OL400 printer
- attached to my system. I use the HP Laserjet series 2 printer
- driver. I"ve installed the ATM typefaces bundled with OS/2 in
- both OS/2 and WINOS/2. The fonts look great on-screen in both
- the Workplace and under WINOS/2. When I print from WINOS/2,
- the output is excellent, as you would expect. But when I print
- from OS/2 the output is really ugly. The characters are jagged,
- smeared and almost unreadable in pointsizes < 16 points. I"ve
- been printing from the enhanced editor and from the online
- help system - in both cases with disastrous result.
- As the characters are generated by ATM whether I print from
- OS/2 or WIN/OS2, and as they in both cases are sent throug the
- HP-driver, I would expect the output to be similar, so why isn"t
- it. Is it just that the Enhanced editor is a pig, and everything
- will be fine once I get a real word processor running under OS/2, or
- do I have to accept that OS/2 drives my laserprinter in 9-pin-
- matrix-printer-with-bad-ribbon emulation :-( which implies that
- I have to all my writing under windows :-(((
- Any comments?
