- I tried to run a program that eats memory until os/2 runs out of it.
- I found that the swapfile shrinks after stopping the program, but
- it don't happen immediately. The machine may be idle for a while,
- or I can do something else,
- ( wich don't require much disk space, of course), and suddenly
- os/2 decides to reduce the swapfile.
- The swapfile is never reduced to its minimum of 2MB even if I close
- everything, it insists on at least 3.5MB.
-
- Either something strange is going on, or perhaps IBM is
- making bad patches now so that 2.1 will look as a big improvement?
