- Hello netters...
-
- I've got a nagging question about OS/2. I've been running it (with pleasure)
- for about a month now, but every so often when I start a new app, everything
- will just freeze up. No mouse or keyboard input, but I can visibly see
- that OS/2 is still "running" (I had pulse, PMEYES, and a clock running,
- and they were still happily churning out output). I've read in this news
- group that it's probably the WPS locking up and not "OS/2." So, how do
- I get the WPS to snap out of this. Is there any way (without the three
- fingered salute--by the way, when I did Ctl-Alt-Del, I listened as the
- kernel sync'ed the filesystem, so I know it wasn't totally foobar)?
-
- Is there some sort of directive in the config.sys to automatically restart
- the WPS when something screws up, or do I (and lots of others I assume)
- have to wait for IBM to fix the WPS code?
-
- Thanks in advance.
-
- -John
-
- ps. I heard a rumor that this problem is going to be addressed in the CSD
- to be released soon. Any truth to that?
