- Where is defined which objects are to be restarted with the WPS?
- I suppose it's in OS2.INI or OS2SYS.INI, some top level and/or key entry.
- I'm able to remove or (I think) edit such entries with SHOWINI.
-
- The reason behind this is that my WPS hangs in an infinite loop
- before any icons are displayed unless I SET RESTARTOBJECTS=NO
- in CONFIG.SYS. But I do want to use the desktop as a workplace
- (or however it's called in English). The next option I have,
- according to IBM's Tips and Techniques, is to use MAKEINI,
- but I'd prefer not to trash all my WPS settings.
- (No, I don't have backups of my INI files from before the problem.) :-(
-
- Many thanks in advance.
-
- Best wishes,
-
- Horst
