  14. Where is defined which objects are to be restarted with the WPS?
  15. I suppose it's in OS2.INI or OS2SYS.INI, some top level and/or key entry.
  16. I'm able to remove or (I think) edit such entries with SHOWINI.

  18. The reason behind this is that my WPS hangs in an infinite loop
  19. before any icons are displayed unless I SET RESTARTOBJECTS=NO
  20. in CONFIG.SYS. But I do want to use the desktop as a workplace
  21. (or however it's called in English). The next option I have,
  22. according to IBM's Tips and Techniques, is to use MAKEINI,
  23. but I'd prefer not to trash all my WPS settings.
  24. (No, I don't have backups of my INI files from before the problem.) :-(
