  14. I'm looking for advice as to the best scheme of partitioning and
  15. formatting to install OS/2 2.0 and DOS 5.

  17. I plan on using the boot manager so that I can take advantage of the
  18. HPFS.  The install manual seems to suggest a 4 meg partition for DOS, 
  19. and then the rest of the HD as a logical drive, formatted for
  20. HPFS.
  21.  
  22. But wait a minute.  The purpose of installing a separate version of DOS
  23. is to be able to run certain programs that won't run in an OS/2 DOS
  24. session (like the game Ultima 7), right?  But if all my software is
  25. installed in the HPFS logical drive, then the separate DOS installation
  26. won't even see it, right?

  28. In short, what does the manual REALLY want me to do?  I'll be using a
  29. 240 meg HD.  What do you think would be the best way to set it up, and
  30. how big should I make each partition?

  32. (Yes I'm somewhat of a novice and pretty clueless :) But, I've read the
  33. FAQ and examined a few of the commercial OS/2 books and tried a couple
  34. different trial installations before posting this.  No flames, please.)
