- I'm happily using OS/2 2.0 GA, but I haven't been able to get it to
- work with my com3 since the day I installed it.
-
- Equipment: Austin 386-33 with AMI bios, 2 serial, 1 paralell ports on
- motherboard
- generic 2400 baud internal modem
-
- I have my modem set up as com1, irq4 and my mouse on the com2, irq3. I
- set the motherboard's other com port to be com3, irq5 following the
- instructions in the computer's manual. The modem works just fine. The
- mouse works just fine. But when I boot up it says "COM3 did not install.
- The interrupt level is not availible." Relevant lines from my config.sys
- are:
-
- DEVICE=C:\OS2\MOUSE.SYS SERIAL=COM2
- DEVICE=C:\OS2\COM.SYS (3,3E8,5)
- DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VCOM.SYS (3,3E8,5)
- BASEDEV=PRINT01.SYS
-
- Does anyone have a solution? thanks.
