- With respect to the Model 70-A21 system memory, that is all that is supported
- by the ABIOS of the system, therefore the system can only address 16MB (there's
- also DMA on the motherboard and a few other issues). When a company comes along
- and extend this architecture (by using an adapter card which includes it's own
- BIOS code to address the additional memory), then you can do more with the
- system. Look at SVGA, 8514/A, and XGA. They all add on to the current system
- configuration to make it better than it was.
