- This happens to me as well, and I have a 8900C board, and it sucks a
- little harder because I use OS/2 full screen almost exclusively, and
- the little colored lines bug me when I play PMMine.

-
- The reason that it "fixes" the corruption is that whenever you start up a
- DOS session, it wipes the corruption. Try doing this with just a plain DOS
- full screen session. I suppose it has to do with the loading of a completely
- new driver: VVGA.sys or VSVGA.sys.

-
- If you had played around with it before you had installed the 800x600x256
- driver, you would have seen a whole bunch of 6 and 7 bit wide fonts. When
- I installed the virtual desktop, I was a little dismayed to find that they
- had disappeared. I guess that it has to do with the fact that 6 and 7 bit
- fonts are slower to render, and the Trident folks were nice enough to save
- us the aggravation. I would hope that they would be more concerned about
- bugs and whatnot, but that is the only reason I see for it.
